when there was that news posting of why rpgmaker has a bad reputation, i 100000% agreed with it. That makes it 1024 tiles witout any auto tiles counted. Thus I can fill a lot of tiles I need in all the available space VX Ace has.īy the way A5 is 512x512, B,C, and D too. If I will save it as png, I got easily a tileset variation. Take a look! On the picture I use the RTP A5 and another outside RTP file to make a tileset as a "map". When filled I export is as a png file, like A5.png I follow the two steps above until the tileset is filled. Then I use all tilesets I got and I select a tile I need. I use Tiled to make a "map" that will be consisted of a 16x16 grid of 32x32 tiles. Now you too can use practically all your tilesets in one map if you oddly wanted to like me! I just feel super discouraged now that i can't make with the arsenal of variety at my disposal. I was in such an initial making frenzy, mapping out, transfers, chests, but now after finding this information out. but thats too small! i want to use as much as possible, which is all of them!!! but instead of being able to mix n match tiles from all owned tilesets, i would have to use gimp or some such, and cut the specific tiles i'd like to use into one brand new 512x512 tileset. I thought i'd be able to make an area, using all possible tile sets that i currently have. With an extremely limited size to work with of 512x512, why would i bother with trying out other tilesets?
